What data we process

• Browsing data: IP address, browser type, pages visited and technical data collected automatically by the systems that run the website.
• Data you give us: name, email, phone number, dates of stay and message content when you contact us by email, phone or WhatsApp.
• Booking data: the data entered in the booking engine (personal details, contacts, stay and payment details).
• Statistical data: aggregate information on website use collected with Google Analytics, only if you give consent via the cookie banner.

Why we process it and on what legal basis

• Answering your enquiries – pre-contractual measures requested by you (Art. 6.1.b GDPR).
• Managing your booking and stay – performance of a contract (Art. 6.1.b).
• Complying with legal obligations, such as guest registration with the police (Questura), tax obligations and tourist tax – legal obligation (Art. 6.1.c).
• Ensuring the security and operation of the website – legitimate interest (Art. 6.1.f).
• Statistical analysis of website use – consent (Art. 6.1.a), which you can withdraw at any time.

Online bookings

Bookings from the website are made through the Octorate booking engine, which processes data on our behalf as data processor. Payment data are handled directly by the provider’s secure payment systems and are not stored on our website.

Who we share data with

Data may be processed by providers that help us deliver our services (website hosting, booking engine, email and messaging services, tax advisers), appointed as data processors where required, and disclosed to authorities when required by law. We do not sell or transfer your data to third parties for marketing purposes.

Transfers outside the EU

Some providers, such as Google (Analytics) and WhatsApp (Meta), may also process data outside the European Union. In these cases transfers are based on the safeguards provided by the GDPR, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep data

We keep enquiry data for as long as needed to reply and for a maximum of 24 months; booking data for the period required by civil and tax law (generally 10 years); statistical data according to the periods stated in the Cookie policy.

Your rights

You can ask at any time for access to your data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, portability, and object to processing based on legitimate interest.
