How to get to Taormina
The Taormina Palace Hotel is at Viale San Pancrazio 56, a short walk from Porta Messina and the bus terminal. Here is how to reach us from the airport, the station and the motorway.
From Catania airport
Catania Fontanarossa airport (CTA) is the closest to Taormina: about 65 km, one hour by car along the A18 motorway.
Private transfer
The easiest option: a certified driver meets you in the arrivals hall and drives you to the hotel in about an hour. We can arrange it for you.
Direct bus
Etna Trasporti / Interbus coaches connect the airport with Taormina in about 1 hour 20 minutes, arriving at the Via Pirandello bus terminal, a few minutes’ walk from the hotel. Buy your ticket before boarding.
Train
From Catania Aeroporto Fontanarossa station (reached by shuttle) trains run to Taormina-Giardini, by the sea. From there, take the town bus or a taxi up to Taormina.
Taxi
Taxis wait outside arrivals. There is no fixed fare to Taormina: agree on the price before you leave.
By car
Take the A18 Messina–Catania motorway, exit at Taormina and follow the signs for the centre. The hotel is on Viale San Pancrazio, near Porta Messina, at the northern entrance to the town.
In high season and during events, traffic may be restricted in the historic centre: follow the road signs and read our parking guide before you arrive.
From Messina and Reggio Calabria
Messina is about 50 km away along the A18 (exit Taormina). By train, the Messina–Catania line stops at Taormina-Giardini.
If you arrive by ferry in Messina or fly into Reggio Calabria, we can arrange a private transfer with driver to the hotel.
From the bus terminal and the station
The hotel is a few minutes’ walk from the Via Pirandello bus terminal. From Taormina-Giardini station you can take the town bus up to the terminal or a taxi.
